[ so the kaiju fight, right. it was pretty touch and go for, like... basically all of it. he'd nearly drowned a total of twenty times trying to keep the smaller ones at bay, and overall, it was just kind of awful. he was thankfully slightly less banged up compared to some of the other outsiders (experimentation, baybee) but still a little fucked up, which means he's finally having his first smoke since getting confined to bedrest for two days. ]

( vash hadn't exactly had the best time of it himself, but at least he'd managed to keep from nearly drowning; maybe it's a plant thing, because heaven knows he's never been in a body of water large enough to do anything but splash around in ( read: a bathtub, yes, i'm funny ), and has no reason at all to know how to swim.
he's checked in on wolfwood every once in a while, generally incapable of not being a pest at least a couple of times a day to ask if he needed anything, but overall letting the man get his rest, so when he pops a seemingly out-of-the-blue question he'll be rested and ready to hear him out. as much as he's willing to divulge. which isn't a whole lot.
( it's nothing, really, but admitting it feels like cheating somehow. )
when he grins, it's sheepish. ) Chocolates, yeah. Doesn't sound too hard to make, right? And the ingredients can't be too hard to get our hands on …
[ if he wasn't popping in a couple times a day to check on him, wolfwood would be more inclined to think there was something wrong with vash instead. which is to say, he expected the needling and the hovering, and his half-hearted complaints were... half-hearted at best. nothing that vash isn't already used to, at least.

pop in he does, and apparently make silly suggestions about something they should make together when the other is well enough to do it. don't even worry about why he wants to make chocolates in the first place! do not!
at the question, he reaches to dig a piece of paper from his pocket, something he'd scribbled on before he'd stopped by this time, grinning all the while. )
Mhm! I might have a bunch of it at the bakery, actually. ( he pauses for dramatic effect, winking for the sake of it. ) Nobody's gonna notice a little bit of bar chocolate missing, right?
